We portion to your order

Your seafood is cut and packed to your order size, never pulled from a freezer. Every portion is labeled with its origin, allergens, and a use-by date.

Cut fresh, packed cold

Delivered on fixed days

Order by the weekly cutoff and your box arrives chilled on your neighborhood’s delivery day. No missed windows, no guessing.

Order by Tuesday 6pm · Delivered Thursday
How it arrives

Cold at your door, even if you’re not home.

The box

Insulated, tamper-evident packaging, packed cold at 41°F or below with ice.

Nobody home? Fine.

No signature needed. Your box is packed to sit tight on a porch; bring it in when you get home and refrigerate.

What arriving right looks like

Everything should feel cold to the touch, like the fish case. Ice may be partly melted; that is normal and fine.

Our story

Your neighborhood fish counter, without the counter.

South Tampa deserves better than the back of a supermarket seafood case. We started South Tampa Seafood to bring restaurant-grade fish to the neighborhoods we live in, Hyde Park to Ballast Point, without the drive, the line, or the mystery.

We’re curators, not a fleet. We are a retail seafood market that delivers: every piece we sell is sourced through licensed Florida wholesalers (the same docks and suppliers top Tampa kitchens buy from), then portioned to your order and delivered cold, on schedule.

“We don’t own boats. We don’t pretend to. We just know exactly who does, and what landed this morning.”

Per-item provenance (dealer, origin, wild or farmed, and vessel or harvest area where the dealer provides it) ships on every label and will appear on every product listing at launch.

Questions

Fair questions, straight answers.

Is it really never frozen?

Yes. Everything we sell is fresh and kept refrigerated from the wholesaler to your door. Every portion label carries a use-by date and keep-refrigerated handling guidance, plus country of origin, wild or farmed, and allergen information (fish and crustacean shellfish).

Where does the seafood come from?

We source through licensed Florida wholesalers, prioritizing Gulf and Florida landings when season and quality allow, and labeling origin on every item. We’re a curated local retail service, not a fishing operation.

How do you sell oysters, clams, and mussels?

Whole and in the shell, in the original sealed, tagged container exactly as we receive it from certified dealers. We never open, portion, or repack molluscan shellfish. Fin fish and crustaceans are what we portion to your order.

Which neighborhoods do you deliver to?

At launch: South Tampa ZIPs (33606, 33609, 33611, 33616, 33629). Join the waitlist with your ZIP. Enough neighbors in one area moves it up the launch list.

When do deliveries happen?

Thursdays, with a weekly order cutoff of Tuesday at 6pm. You’ll always know exactly when your box lands, and you don’t need to be home to receive it.

Can I pause, skip, or cancel?

Anytime, no questions. Boxes are portioned so you finish what you get. Skipping a week should feel easy, not wasteful.

Why a waitlist instead of ordering now?

We’re finalizing licensing and building delivery routes neighborhood by neighborhood. The waitlist is free, takes payment from no one, and gets you first access when we open your ZIP.

The good fish goes to whoever’s first.
